REVIEW. REFLECT. REVISE.

Newsletter from Tue, October 17th, 2023 6:30 AM - It's October...IPC is over and the guys have all recovered from the GTE GrowRuck event that Columbus hosted last month. Shout out to all of the fellas that put that work in, supported the group in some way, and to Baskins for the great photos!

"My mind is re engaged, my body is broken down “in a good way”, and my heart again is filled with being apart of the brotherhood that is F3!!"

- A snippet from an incredible chunk of words written by one of F3 Columbus' founding fathers, Bo Schembechler.

GTE-039 took place here in Columbus a couple of weeks ago and it was BRUTAL. Heavy things were carried, many miles were rucked, and the guys even did some synchronized swimming in the Olentangy River.

This month has been a big reminder of the importance of self-awareness and reflection. Without it, when do we know that we've veered off course? And if we aren't aware of where we are how do we know to correct the path we are on? To me, this is one of the most important things I can help my son, my wife, my team members, and my friends be reminded of.

GTE-039 seemed to have been a great reminder for the PAX who participated to review, reflect, and revise their lives. I don't think you have to spend 12 or 24 hours going through intense mental and physical exhaustion in order to reflect on your life, but it can definitely do the trick. Even just a few minutes each week looking back at what you did, how you responded to situations, and how you want to improve can be incredibly beneficial.

What type of father, husband, neighbor, and individual do you want to be? Think about those things, reflect on where you are currently in life, and make those changes to get there.

I'll stop there and leave you with one final piece from Schembechler's reflection piece: "If anyone is out there and struggling with re engaging…. All I can say is… excuses be damned get back under that log and let’s get to work to Get Right, Live Right, Learn Right, and Leave Right!"
